THREE VICTORIES IN A ROW BY CAVENDISH!
Briton rider of Belgium's Deceuninck-Quick-Step team, Mark Cavendish has managed to rank first three times in a row on the 4th stage of the 56th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey, Salcano Alanya-Kemer.
169 athletes participated in the 184.4-kilometer stage that started from İskele Road in Alanya district of Antalya.
Cavendish, who won the second stage (Konya-Konya) and the third stage (Beyşehir-Alanya) of TOUR, clinched the victory again. The British athlete won the stage with a timing of 4 hours 9 minutes 38 seconds.
In the fourth stage, the second and third places did not change. As in the Beyşehir-Alanya stage, Belgian Jasper Philipsen from Belgium's Alpecin Fenix team completed the stage second, and Polish Stanislaw Aniolkowski from Belgium's Bingoal Pauwels Sauces WB took the third place.
German rider Alexander Krieger of Belgium's Alpecin-Fenix team and American rider Noah Granigan of USA's Wildlife Generation team crashed in the last 150 meters.
Cavendish, who won the third stage in a row, claimed the turquoise swimsuit in the Kemer-Elmalı (Göğübeli) stage, as he ranked first in the general classification (GC).
In the general classification (GC), Belgian Jasper Philipsen of Belgium's Alpecin-Fenix team ranks second with 12 seconds down and Dutch Arvid De Kleijn of the USA's Rally Cycling team ranks third with 20 seconds down.
