FELIX GROSSSCHARTNER WINS THE 55TH PRESIDENTIAL CYCLING TOUR OF TURKEY
Felix Grossschartner of Bora-Hansgrohe (Germany) team won the 55th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey (TOUR 2019)
The 172,4-kilometer-long sixth and the last stage of TOUR 2019, which has kicked off in April 16 at Sultanahmet Square of İstanbul, has started in Sakarya heading back to İstanbul. Passing through Eurasia Tunnel, riders has crossed the finish line at Sultanahmet Square.
Topping the general classification with 24 hours 53 minutes 58 seconds, Bora-Hansgrohe's 25-year-old rider Grossschartner became the owner of the Turquoise Jersey and clinched the overall victory in TOUR 2019.
Italian Valerio Conti from BAE Emirates team came 19 seconds behind Grossschartner as the second and Eritrean Merhawi Kudus of Astana team took the third place coming 25 seconds behind.
Meanwhile, Caleb Ewan of Lotto Soudal team won last 172.4-kilometre-long stage of the 55th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey in 4 hours 10 minutes and 41 seconds.
