TOUR 2021: STAGE 3

On the third day of the 56th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey, the Beyşehir-Alanya stage of 212.6 kilometers was held. Winning the second stage (Konya-Konya) of TOUR, Mark Cavendish, ranked first again in the 3rd stage.

 

 

After the first stage, which was planned to start in Cappadocia but could not be held due to heavy snowfall, a quite warm weather greeted the athletes in Alanya at the end of the third stage.

 

 

Athletes, who also faced cold weather in Konya, climbed the snowy mountains afterwards. Visiting the snowy landscape, the athletes landed in Alanya, at a temperature of 20 degrees, after a few hours.

 

 

The British athlete won the race with a timing of 5 hours 10 minutes 34 seconds.

 

 

Mark Cavendish secured the leadership in general classification (GC) with a timing of  10 hours 3 minutes 14 seconds.

 

 

In the third stage, Belgian Jasper Philipsen from Alpecin Fenix team of Belgium took the second place and Polish Stanislaw Aniolkowski from Belgium's Bingoal Pauwels Sauces WB team ranked third.

 

 

Being the winner of the day once again after the Konya-Konya stage, Cavendish is entitled to wear the turquoise swimwear in the Alanya-Kemer stage, as he ranked first in the general classification.
