TEKNOFEST 2020: ROCKET COMPETITION

Before TEKNOFEST to be held in Gaziantep, rocket competitions were held in Aksaray Salt Lake between September 1 - 13 with the participation of students.

 

 

While excitement at TEKNOFEST, the first Aviation Space and Technology Festival of Turkey was reaching fever pitch, Minister of Industry and Technology, Varank and Chairman of TEKNOFEST and T3 Foundation Board of Trustees, Selçuk Bayraktar watched the competitions together.

 

 

Delivering the first speech right after the rockets was launched, Selçuk Bayraktar stated: “These competitions are organized to make prepared our young talents in future trending technology fields, and to increase their curiosity and excitement. This year the interest has been much greater. We will complete our competitions in Gaziantep this year and hold our final on September 24-27.”

 

 

While the countdown continues for TEKNOFEST, the world's largest Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, which was held for the third time this year and broke visitor records in 2019, the Rocket Competition organized by ROKETSAN and TÜBİTAK SAGE for young people aiming the highest witnessed spectacular shots at Salt Lake.

 

 

82 teams that made it to the finals among 516 teams in the Rocket Competition participated in the competitions.

 

 

Started out with the slogan #NationalTechnologyMove and aiming to turn Turkey into a technology-producing society, TEKNOFEST will be held in Gaziantep Middle East Exhibition Center in September 24-27 2020, under collaboration of Turkish Technology Team Foundation and Ministry of Industry and Technology, with the support of pioneering technology companies of Turkey, state institutions, media organizations and universities.

 

 

Before TEKNOFEST to be held in Gaziantep, rocket races were held in Aksaray Salt Lake between September 1 - 13 with the participation of students.

Aiming to raise awareness of technology and science in the whole society and to increase the human resource trained in the fields of science and engineering in Turkey, TEKNOFEST offers technology competitions in 21 different categories to support the work of young people on future technologies. Despite the pandemic, a new record was broken this year, with a total of 20,197 teams applying technology competitions.
